Knit your own socks

December 23, 2008

My first go at knitting socks – I’m so pleased at how they turned out!

I’ve been trying (and failing) to find the pattern online and wanted to share it (and wanted to be able to file it somewhere it wouldn’t get lost). I picked it up as a free print-out in John Lewis, Reading. It’s just like a photocopied Word document and is totally uncredited; as it was being given away free, I hope nobody will mind me reproducing it here.

Thanks must also go to Dorret Conway on YouTube, without whose fab videos I would have had a few problems following the pattern as a first-time knitter!

  1. I’ve just discovered your wonderful blog! I’m about to embark on sock knitting for the first time and it is great to see how well your first socks turned out and how utterly fabulous all your subsequent ones are 🙂
